Vancouver, B.C. – The Blue Wave Pool, a popular swimming hole in the south-western part of the city, will undergo an update of security measures for the 2019 season.
A Blue Wave Security Team will be deployed throughout the pool to increase security in and around the swimming area, the pool’s official website says.
The pool will also be closed to the public until further notice.
A new security camera system is in place to enhance pool security, and there will be increased patrols on the pool, the website says, adding that the pool is not currently being used for swimming.
The Blue Wave pool was the site of an incident last year that resulted in the death of a pool security guard.
